[ BREAKING ] Announcing NON:op's 2024-25 Season!!

Something old, something new, something borrowed…
I'm thrilled to announce a preview of NON:op Open Opera Works’ 2024-25 season. We are also making changes to our mission to better reflect the work that we have been doing for the past few years.
Over the years, NON:op has evolved from a group of artists creating immersive experiences for the music and art community. Work that we wanted to create for ourselves and for those in our immediate sphere. Over the years we became more engaged with Chicago's diverse communities and with social concerns. In the summer of 2020, we have shifted our focus from serving communities on Chicago's north side to serving the entire Chicagoland community. Our mission now reflects how we engage with all of Chicago:
NON:op is a Chicago-based experimental arts and humanities organization that creates experimental art experiences by and for all Chicagoans. NON:op engages diverse chicago communities with participatory projects where people use the arts to create a more just society.
This season NON:op is getting back to its roots, something old, and planning two salons—performances, food, libations—to take place in the fall and spring. In the fall we will have public presentations from our NEW Listening Across Neighborhoods project. (See above for dates and locations.) We continue to develop our SAY THEIR NAMES interactive map and database—stay tuned for important updates. And later this fall we will announce one to two new participatory projects for the spring.

Thank you for your support!
